How do I connect Google Search Console?
You connect Search Console from its report page in three steps. You’ll need a Google account that already has verified Search Console properties.1
Open Search Console and connect
Go to the Search Console report for your site and click Connect. You’ll be sent to Google to sign in and grant read access to your Search Console data.
2
Pick a property
After you approve, tinyanalytics lists the Search Console properties your Google account can access. Choose the one that matches this site.
3
View your search metrics
Your totals, trend chart, and per-dimension tables load in the report. Everything stays on this one page — connect, view, and disconnect are all here.
Verify
The connection is working when the totals, trend chart, and dimension tables load for the Search Console property you selected.
What search metrics does tinyanalytics show?
The report opens with a totals strip — clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position for the whole window — then a trend chart, then a table you can switch across four dimensions, one tab each. Every row carries the same four Google metrics:
CTR is shown as a percentage and average position to one decimal place. Click a column header to sort, and use the search box to filter rows by name — searching never rescales the share-of-clicks bars, which are always computed over every fetched row.
The totals are exact: clicks and impressions are summed, while CTR and average position are impression-weighted, so a 10-impression day can’t swing the window average the way a 10,000-impression day does.
How do I see my traffic next to my search rankings?
On the Pages, Countries, and Devices tabs, each row adds your first-party tinyanalytics metrics next to Google’s — so a single row reads “ranks #4, gets 1,200 impressions, and converts to 340 sessions at 41% bounce.”- Pages join on the page path and show your sessions and pageviews, plus bounce rate and engaged sessions for pages that start a visit.
- Countries and Devices join on the same dimension and show your sessions and pageviews.
- A row with no matching tinyanalytics traffic shows a
—, never a fabricated0— a page Google sent impressions to but that you have no tracked traffic for is genuinely unknown, not zero.
Bounce rate and engaged are entry-page only. They come from your landing-page data, which exists only for paths that started a session. A page that ranks and gets clicked but is rarely an entry point shows its sessions and pageviews with
— for bounce and engaged.Queries stay Google-only. tinyanalytics never sees a visitor’s search terms server-side, so there is nothing first-party to join to a query. The Queries tab shows Google’s clicks, impressions, CTR, and position only.
Is my search traffic growing?
Two things answer this on the page:- The trend chart plots clicks and impressions per day across the window. Clicks read on the left axis with a shaded area; impressions read on their own right axis as a lighter line, because impressions typically dwarf clicks and a shared axis would flatten the clicks line. Hover for a per-day tooltip.
- Period comparison. The totals strip shows each metric’s change against the previous equal-length window — the same number of days immediately before your current one. A metric with no comparable prior data hides its change chip rather than showing a misleading swing.
Can I export my Search Console data?
Yes. The table exports to CSV — the rows currently displayed, with their visible columns, including the joined tinyanalytics metrics on the Pages, Countries, and Devices tabs. Use it to pull rankings and traffic into a spreadsheet or a report. Why is Search Console on its own date range?
Search Console data is daily and lags about two to three days behind, so the report uses its own trailing window — last 7 days, last 28 days, or last 3 months (28 days is the default) — rather than the minute-level range the rest of the dashboard shares. A “last 30 minutes” view would be meaningless for search data that hasn’t arrived yet. Google fixes Search Console’s daily aggregation to the America/Los_Angeles (Pacific) time zone, and the report matches it: the window ends at the latest complete Pacific day (about two days ago) and spans exactly the number of days you pick. That alignment makes the totals match Google’s own Performance report row-for-row. It also means the numbers can differ slightly from the rest of your dashboard when your reporting timezone isn’t Pacific — the two answer different questions (“what does Google report” versus “my traffic in my timezone”).What is the Search Console card on my dashboard?
Once a site is connected, your main dashboard shows a Search Console card with your top five queries over the last 28 days — a quick glance at what’s driving search traffic without leaving the overview. The card appears only when Search Console is connected, so an unconnected dashboard stays uncluttered.Search Console queries can be more sensitive than aggregate pageviews, so the report and its dashboard card are visible only to signed-in members of your site — never on a public or embedded dashboard.

Why is my Search Console data two or three days behind?
Google Search Console data is daily and lags about two to three days behind. That’s why the tinyanalytics Search Console report uses its own trailing window — last 7 days, last 28 days, or last 3 months — aligned to Google’s Pacific-day aggregation and ending at the latest complete day, so the totals match Google’s own Performance report.

Can I disconnect Google Search Console from tinyanalytics?
Yes, at any time from the Search Console report page — connect, view, and disconnect all live on that one page. tinyanalytics only ever reads your Search Console data; it never writes to it.
Does Search Console data appear on a public or embedded dashboard?
Does Search Console data appear on a public or embedded dashboard?
No. Search Console queries can be more sensitive than aggregate pageviews, so the report and its dashboard card are visible only to signed-in members of your site. A public or embedded tinyanalytics dashboard never shows them.
